Today we drove to our new home for two days Goose Creek Resort at Newport, NC. It was a three hour drive. Along the way we saw many fields of cotton and peanuts.

Our campground is very nice. We saw the couple in the Scamp trailer at a local shopping market and then when we pulled in we met then again. They are from New Hampshire and are going around the eastern and southern states.
This the a restaurant recommended by the campground manager as where all the locals come to get fresh seafood. Becky had a dozen oysters on the half shell. The largest ones I have ever seen and I had fried oysters and fantastic collard greens. We met the owner, he just started his 42th year. Look up T &W if in the Newport, NC area.
