Before we left Assateague State Park a horse came to say good bye.
We traveled 6 hours today to a little state park called Medoc State
park in NC. The wind was behind us at about 25 miles per hour and we had
to cross the Chesapeake Bay. It is an interesting crossing because it
is basically a bridge except for two tunnels. The first tunnel we saw a
Navy ship coming and as we went into the tunnel it crossed. The second
tunnel we could see a submarine coming in and passed over us.
Our campsite was very nice and we were one of three campers in the whole park.
We hiked by the river for about two miles before supper and a campfire.
